About Jon Smith, CCIM

Jon is a commercial realtor licensed in Louisiana, the founder and principal investment partner of ETRE Commercial Investments, and holds the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member.

Previously, Jon was involved in leasing and ownership of commercial property in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge markets and made a move into commercial real estate sales and brokerage as a full-time career in early 2010. He was formerly the Director of Commercial Property for HRI Properties, one of the nation’s leading large scale urban historical property redevelopment companies and more recently, served as the Executive Director of the French Market Corporation (FMC). The FMC is the City of New Orleans owned property management company, which is responsible for all operations of commercial property covering six key city blocks in the French Quarter. With an annual revenue of $12MM, this position allowed Jon to oversee more than 100,000 s/f of gross leasable area, along with managing a multi-million dollar parking operation, and one of the nation’s most historic and significant public markets.

Successfully having worked with both national retailers as well as start-up operations, institutional clients and investors just starting on their first property, single 1031 exchange flips and other commercial real estate investments alike, Jon is well versed in the processes needed to bring your real estate transaction to successful conclusion. He is eager to bring his passion for commercial sales combined with the knowledge of the Real Estate fabric of the Gulf South and River Region to help with your real estate needs.
